Officially named as a suburb in 2017, Fraser Rise was previously known as part of the locality of Plumpton in The City of Melton.
Bucking the current trend of interest rates and cost of living expenses, strong residential growth is expected to continue with a number of new suburbs, including Fraser Rise, emerging as increasingly popular residential locations for younger families and first home buyers, with the highly established suburbs of Caroline Springs, Hillside and Taylors Hill as neighbouring suburbs.
It’s anticipated that the City of Melton’s population will more than double between 2017 and 2041* and local council’s and authorities are committed to working together to deliver an environment that delivers well-located shops, health and community facilities, educational opportunities, walking and cycling paths and all of the services enjoyed by established inner city suburbs.
While the local area already enjoys a high level of services, the following key amenities are on the planning list for the local areas to support anticipated population growth:
A major town centre in Plumpton, which will feature further retail, entertainment, commercial district, aquatic centre, civic hub, childcare and additional parkland
A future government Prep-Year 12 school and local sports reserve located on Beatty’s Road
A community centre, government primary and non-government primary school, accessed from Plumpton Road.
With close proximity to the Calder and Western Freeways for easier access to the CBD and broader western region, future road upgrades are proposed to support the growing local population and provide an efficient public transport and free-flowing road network to the future Fraser Rise community.
Fraser Rise will also benefit from a local council that adopts sustainable planning, design, and conservation. Most recently Varcon Group, the developer of the new master planned community, Masall, was awarded the 2022 Business Excellence Award for Sustainability Leadership by the City of Melton, for pioneering business practices that minimise their environmental footprint across operations, supply chains and waste production.
